We are seeking a skilled BMS Operator to join the facilities management team at a major hospital precinct in Woolloongabba. This is a critical role ensuring the seamless operation of life-sustaining plant and equipment within a fast-paced clinical environment.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, allowing you to establish yourself within a stable, long-term essential service environment while enjoying the benefits of an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust BMS (Building Management Systems) to maintain optimal HVAC, air quality, and temperature controls.

  • Respond to system alarms and equipment failures, coordinating rapid-response repairs.

  • Manage critical escalation processes during system outages or emergencies.

  • Liaise with on-site Electricians, Fitters, and Plumbers to facilitate maintenance.

  • Maintain accurate digital logs and shift handover reports.

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically minded individual who thrives under pressure. To be successful, you will ideally possess:

  • Trade Background: Preferably a Mechanical Engineering Trade (Fitter/HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing).

  • Experience: Proven experience as a BMS Operator or within a high-stakes Control Room environment.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems and general building services.

  • Operational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a high-pressure healthcare setting.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear escalation and reporting.

  • Digital Literacy: High level of competency with computer systems and monitoring software.

  • Tickets: A Boiler Ticket is highly desirable (but not mandatory).
